Vitamin C: The Low Down

What is it, why do we need it, what can it do?
The skincare ingredient you need in your routine!

Vitamin C may be your go-to vitamin when you feel a cold coming on, but it is also an iconic ingredient in the skincare world too. Uneven skin tone, rough texture, fine lines, acne scars, general dullness — you can name just about any common complexion concern and there’s a good chance that Vitamin C is a recommended ingredient.

Firstly, what is Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is a vital nutrient for health which can’t be stored in our bodies, so we need it in our diets every day. It is naturally found in a variety of fruit and vegetables and whilst citrus fruits, such as oranges and limes, are the most well-known source, many other fruits and veggies are bursting with it… plums, papaya, strawberries, blackcurrants, peppers, broccoli, brussels sprouts and chili peppers.

However, only a small fraction of the Vitamin C that we consume will be active in the skin, therefore the topical application is necessary for optimum complexion perfection.

Why do we need Vitamin C in our skincare?

Vitamin C, in skincare, is a water-soluble vitamin and powerful antioxidant with the ability to penetrate the skin for effective results.

Over time, intrinsic (natural) and extrinsic (environmental) factors cause structural changes within the skin. This is what leads to fine lines, uneven skin tone, UV-induced age spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Therefore, a daily dose of this vibrant Vitamin is crucial for healthy-looking skin.

There are many forms of Vitamin C in skincare, but the most commonly used are Ascorbyl-6-Palmitate and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP). Both forms are stable when formulated into skincare products and make for the safest option for your skin.

How else does Vitamin C benefit the skin?

Vitamin C has a wealth of benefits that make it worthy of a permanent place in your skincare routine. In brief, it will brighten your complexion, even skin tone and help to reduce signs of ageing.

Potent Antioxidant: As far as your skin is concerned, Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps to neutralise free radicals. This includes damages caused by pollution and sun exposure, which can lead to pigmentation, signs of ageing and dullness.
So, in the same way that consuming antioxidant-rich foods aids your body in fighting off free radicals, topical antioxidants do the same for your skin. In other words, antioxidants help keep our body and our skin cells healthy.

Radiant Complexion: It is known as a superior brightening agent ideal for those looking to target an uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation or dark spots. It contains a property that inhibits your skin’s melanin production, which is what causes skin discoloration. With continued topical use, Vitamin C can help lighten their appearance and prevent dark spots from forming in the first place.

Boost Collagen Production: Along with these antioxidant and brightening properties, it is an ideal anti-ageing ingredient. Thanks to its ability to stimulate the production of collagen which enhances skin’s plumpness and elasticity, for a firm, smooth, youthful-looking complexion.

October Breast Awareness Month

In aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want you to really get to know your breasts and know how to take the best possible care of them.

We are all different – our breasts come in different shapes and sizes, and it isn’t unusual for one to be bigger than the other. They also vary in size and shape at different times of the month and with age.

Over time, the tissue and structure of our breasts begin to change. This is due to differences in our hormone levels caused by the natural, beautiful process of ageing. Oestrogen impacts the connective tissue and ligaments of the breast which results in the skin of the breasts becoming thinner, dehydrated and unable to spring back. Common complaints of ageing breasts are; crepey skin, stretch marks and fine lines.

Is there anything we can do to preserve this delicate area?

The breasts, chest, and neck are often overlooked when it comes to skincare routines — but these areas are just as affected by sun damage, pollution, and ageing as the skin on your face.

This area is more delicate, so it is best to not use harsh ingredients such as retinol or scrubs. Besides SPF (daily!) hydration is the key to a youthful-looking cleavage.

Opt for a daily layer of our Collagen Hand & Body Lotion Collagen Skincare Gel, Collagen Body Butter, to help firm, plump and nourish the skin. The unique formula deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin, whilst infusing skin with antioxidants to help filter out free radicals. Leaving you with smooth, healthy-looking skin.

Anything else?

Don’t smoke – a factor which contributes to accelerated ageing of breast tissue is smoking – the chemicals in cigarettes speed ageing by destroying elastin, a protein that helps the skin remain supple. Also wearing a poor fitting bra when exercising creates too much motion and results in over-stretching of the breasts.

Make sure you check your breasts – regularly!

Also, with age comes an increased risk of developing growths in the breasts, such as fibroids, cysts, and cancer. Keep in mind that women of any age can develop these conditions. You should give yourself regular breast self-exams to check for any growths as some changes aren’t normal.

How do I check my breasts?

Using our Collagen Neck & Bust Cream daily allows you to subconsciously check your breasts every day. The more we check our breasts the more likely we are to discover any sudden changes. Regular self-breast exams are something every woman should feel comfortable and confident doing as part of a healthy routine.

The NHS Breast Screening Programme has produced a 5-point plan for being breast aware:

  1. know what’s normal for you
  2. look at your breasts and feel them
  3. know what changes to look for
  4. report any changes without delay
  5. attend routine screening if you’re 50 or over

Look at your breasts and feel each breast and armpit, and up to your collarbone. You may find it easiest to do this in the shower or bath, by running a soapy hand over each breast and up under each armpit. You can also look at your breasts in the mirror. Look with your arms by your side and also with them raised.

Breast Changes to look out for…

See your GP if you notice any of the following changes:

  • a change in the size, outline or shape of your breast
  • a change in the look or feel of your skin, such as puckering or dimpling
  • a new lump, thickening or bumpy area in one breast or armpit that is different from the same area on the other side
  • nipple discharge that’s not milky
  • bleeding from your nipple
  • a moist, red area on your nipple that doesn’t heal easily
  • any change in nipple position, such as your nipple being pulled in or pointing differently
  • a rash on or around your nipple
  • any discomfort or pain in one breast, particularly if it’s new pain and doesn’t go away (although pain is only a symptom of breast cancer in rare cases)

Always seek your GP’s advice if you are concerned!

Breast changes can happen for many reasons, and most of them aren’t serious. Lots of women have breast lumps, and 9 out of 10 are not cancerous.

However, if you find changes in your breast that aren’t normal for you, it’s best to see your GP as soon as possible. If cancer is detected, then appropriate treatment should be planned as quickly as possible.

This collection is specifically formulated to target signs of ageing and has been dermatologically tested for use on all skin types. Ideal for normal/combination or oily skin types, as the lightweight textures do not sit on the skin, or block pores which can often occur with rich, anti-ageing formulations.

This Green Caviar Trio is nature’s answer to your anti-ageing concerns. Vegan-friendly and specially formulated to help achieve and maintain a hydrated, smooth and youthful-looking complexion. It is worth also noting that the packaging is 100% recyclable, what’s not to love?!

Our Unique Ingredients

Green Caviar

Deemed as the new superfood of the ocean, and often referred to as ‘sea grapes’, Green Caviar packs a powerful punch of amino acids which directly impacts collagen production within the skin. This helps increase firmness and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making this the new ‘go to’ ingredient for anti-ageing benefits.

Each ‘sea grape’ is full of other precious elements which promise to serve the skin in the following ways…

  • Vitamins A, B2, C and E help strengthen skin’s barrier against environmental stresses to revive lack-lustre skin, for radiant, healthy-looking skin.
  • Minerals including Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron.
  • Polysaccharides, which are key to hydrating, softening and improving the suppleness of skin
  • Hygroscopic properties which retain water to help prevent dehydration.

Rodacea is a microalgae indigenous to the Isle of Sylt, in Germany. A fairly unknown, but powerful ingredient, with both anti-oxidant and immediate hydrating benefits. In fact, it is known as the ‘Hyaluronic Acid of the Sea’ as it holds 1000x its weight in water. Rodacea also protects the skin from external influences by strengthening the skin’s natural barrier.

Early Boost®

A science-led ingredient made from Red Algae, which mimics the effects of Taurine – an amino acid usually found in mammals. Early Boost® provides instant moisturisation to rehydrate skin for visible results, as well as providing antioxidant benefits which protect the skin from free radicals.

Hyaluronic Acid

This moisture-binding ingredient helps to keep the skin plump and hydrated, and it’s actually something our bodies naturally produce. Hyaluronic Acid helps the skin retain over 1,000 times its weight in water within the cells of the skin, along with the ability to attract and balance moisture levels to effectively and visibly plump and hydrate the skin’s surface.

SBC have searched for and sourced these unique, key ingredients for the Green Caviar Perfecting Collection providing you with luxurious advanced skincare to use every day for visible results

Simply Cleanse with SBC

The most commonly misused, and probably most underrated, skincare product is the cleanser.

Cleansing is the first step of your skincare routine, and if done properly it is to prep it for the next steps of your routine. If you don’t cleanse your face thoroughly before applying other products, they simply will not be as effective as they should be. Cleansers dissolve daily dirt, grime, impurities, and make-up, which, if left on the skin, can lead to a dull, congested and ageing complexion.

With so many cleansers available it is easy to feel overwhelmed when deciding which one to use. Understanding the difference between types of cleansers will allow you to narrow down your options and makes the hunt for your perfect cleanser easier.

Most Common Types of Cleansers

  1. Gel Cleansers are clear and are generally designed for deep cleansing. They are effective at decongesting clogged pores and removing excess oil, to help mattify the oily or combination skin types. Sage & Lemon Cleanser, All Skins 3-in-1 Cleanser
  2. Cream Cleansers are perfect for hydrating the skin. They gently cleanse your skin without stripping it of its natural oils, cream cleansers include milks and lotions, which are ideal for dry, dehydrated skin types. Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser
  3. Foam cleansers are lightweight cleansers that burst into a rich, foamy lather. This type of cleanser removes excess oil as effectively as gel cleansers, and therefore best for oily, problematic skins, and combination skin types. Cotton Foaming Cleanser
  4. Oil Cleansers, it is often thought that you shouldn’t use an oil cleanser on oily skin, however, oil cleansers are an effective and gentle way of removing pore-clogging debris without drying your skin. Generally, oil cleansers are suitable for all types of skin.
  5. Cleansing Balms are very similar to oil cleansers, as they are made from oils and mixed with wax to achieve a thicker consistency. Their rich formulas make them great for those with combination or dry skin – a great nourishing winter cleanser.
  6. Micellar Cleansers feature ‘micelles’ (tiny oil molecules) which are suspended in soft water that attract oil, dirt and makeup and you don’t need to rinse them off with water, they are the ideal ‘quick fix’.

Cleansers for your Skin Type

The skin type and condition of your skin should affect your choice of cleanser. To ensure you get the desired results your cleanser should be specific in treating the needs of your skin condition:

  • Oily Skin: Gel-based cleansers, foaming cleansers and clay cleansers work best at removing impurities and excess oil. Oily skin needs gentle care that helps balance excess oil and shine and battles blemishes. Our Sage & Lemon Cleanser can help tackle oily, troublesome skin.
  • Dry, Dehydrated Skin: Cream cleansers and oil-based cleansers can help add moisture to the skin. Dry and dehydrated skin needs gentle cleansing that cleans the skin without leaving it feeling tight or uncomfortable. Try our best-selling Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser.
  • Combination Skin: Combination skin has different needs, which can make it tricky to care for, usually, a lotion or water-based cleanser is preferable. Our Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser can hydrate and help balance without drying. SBC’s All Skins 3-in-1 Cleanser  is also suitable, to leave skin feeling fresh smooth and thoroughly cleansed.
  • Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin requires extra-gentle cleansing, look for calming formulas that won’t irritate the skin, and avoid anything that may strip the skin. SBC have formulated the Cotton Foaming Cleanser to help soothe sensitive skin without causing dryness or irritation. Our Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser. is also gentle enough for sensitive skin.
  • All Skin Types:  Oil Cleansers, Cleansing Balms and Micellar Waters are suitable for all skin types, they generally incorporate different ingredients to target specific skin concerns.

Double Cleansing – Fad or Fact?

In our opinion – twice the effort doubles the benefit!

Double cleansing is a two-step method for cleansing your skin: the first cleanse is to remove make-up/SPF/impurities; the second cleanse allows the key ingredients from your cleanser to penetrate your skin and be more effective. Double cleansing should be a necessity if you wear make-up, but also if you wear a daily SPF or spend a lot of time in a city, which can result in added free radical build up on the skin.

In terms of types of cleansers for your double cleanse you can use the same cleanser twice, however, to maximise the benefits of your routine we would recommend incorporating two different cleansers to achieve ultimate nourishment! The double cleanse will properly prepare your skin to absorb all the luscious products you choose to apply in the rest of your routine, which gets you the results you want quicker.

If you already use an eye-makeup remove or Micellar Cleanser before you wash your face, you are already double cleansing. Alternatively, cream or balm formulas will melt seamlessly into dry skin, helping to dissolve any remaining traces of the day, ready for your second cleanse. For your second cleanse consider a gel or creamy formulation suitable for your skin type or skin concern.

SBC’s Cleansing rules:

  1. Cleanse your face every morning – a splash of water will not cut it, skin can still get a build up of dirt and oil from your pillow.
  2. More importantly, cleanse your face every night – without fail! Even if you don’t wear make-up – dirt, oil and pollutants will build-up on your skin.
  3. Use our SBC Skin Shammy to remove your cleanser instead of just rinsing with water. The Shammy thoroughly removes impurities while also sloughing off dead skin cells and excess product for a brighter complexion.
  4. Don’t use freezing cold water or scalding hot water – both will cause damage to your skin. Go lukewarm – if it is a nice warm temperature for your hands it will be fine for your face.
  5. It is important to incorporate exfoliating into your cleansing routine. Exfoliation simply gives your complexion an instant glow by clearing away the dead skin cells that cause dullness. SBC’s Green Tea & Gingko Biloba Face Polish should be used 2-3 times a week, after cleansing.

Trust us – an effective cleansing routine will leave you with beautiful, glowing, healthy looking skin!

Why Propolis?

Bees are incredible.

They aren’t only a source of delicious honey, they also produce Propolis.

Propolis is a powerful, wonder ingredient that tends to fly under the radar, but we are slowly seeing a growth in popularity in the skincare industry, and we are not surprised at all.

As avid Propolis enthusiasts we want you to know exactly why we use it in our skincare products and explain why you should be adding it to your skincare regime too.

What is Propolis?

To create propolis, Bee’s head to the trees to collect sap. Trees pay a large contribution to the creation of Propolis…

Trees have had to evolved over time to survive all the environmental aggressors that have been thrown at them over thousands of years – bacterial, pollution, insects, etc. The trees excrete a waxy resin, sap, which coats their newly formed buds to protect them as it is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial.

Bee’s collect this sap, then work it with their front legs whilst adding beeswax, honey and bee-produced enzymes to the mixture, this forms the resin-like material which we know as Propolis.

What do Bee’s do with Propolis?

The name Propolis translates from Greek to ‘Defender of the City’, which is a very appropriate term to describe the role of propolis in the beehive. It defends the hive in several ways, firstly it is used to seal gaps to strengthen the hive and stop potential predators invading and to prevent decomposition within the hive.

Propolis is rich in amino acids, vitamins, mineral and most importantly, bioflavonoids, which have powerful antioxidant effects which is why bees use the Propolis to sterilise the hive. Bees will coat areas and invaders in propolis to prevent and control the potential spread of bacterial growth within the hive.

Propolis is so effective at preventing infections in the hive, that they even line all entries to the hive with it, so that they must crawl through a tight tunnel of propolis to enter and leave. This way bees are cleansed of microbes as they enter the hive, and the sterility of the hive is maintained.

Propolis functions as the natural defence and immune system of the beehive.

Why would we use Propolis on our skin?

When used on the skin, this special ingredient generally translates from how it helps protect a hive – helps to protect and support the skin too. The naturally powerful properties of Propolis hold a wealth of benefits for most skin types, and many skin concerns or skin that feels or looks unhealthy.

Propolis is most commonly known for its calming and restoring capabilities, so if you are prone to sensitive, reactive, volatile, irritated or problematic skin, Propolis is your saviour! Propolis has powerful soothing properties which work quickly to comfort and calm the skin.

So, if you have dehydrated or flaky skin, Propolis will also help restore skin’s natural moisture barrier to help smooth skin texture, for soft and supple skin from top to toe. It is also the ideal hydrating and soothing ingredient for breakout prone, hormonal or oily skin too, as it hydrates the skin without clogging pores.

It’s hard to protect skin from harmful environmental stressors in today’s modern life, but they can lead to dehydration, blocked pores, lack of radiance and a weakened skin barrier. The high anti-oxidant content helps to keep free radicals from causing cellular damage, for an energised, healthy-looking complexion.

Propolis is also ideal for breakout prone, hormonal or oily skin, firstly it helps hydrate the skin without a creamy or heavy residue and without clogging pores, which is always a bonus.

Propolis feeds your skin with natural nurturing care which keeps skin looking healthy and in tip-top condition. Also remember, prevention is better than cure, and gentle enough for every day use so if you are prone to skin woes give propolis ago today.

So, to conclude, why wouldn’t you want to use Propolis on your skin. Now hopefully you understand what the buzz is all about! Pun absolutely intended. Keep your eye out for a Propolis treat heading your way imminently…

Beauty From the Inside Out

When it comes to healthy-looking, glowing skin, it is not all about what moisturiser you are using. The fundamentals of good skincare truly begins with what you put into your body.

Below are a few staples we would recommend you incorporating into your diet to nourish your skin from the inside out.

These foods (and drinks) are enriched with properties that will work wonders for your skin. Eat the correct balance of foods and you’ll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and glowing.

Fatty Fish

Fatty, oily fish is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, especially fish such as salmon, trout or mackerel. These fatty acids are crucial fats that our bodies need to keep skin hydrated and helps reduce inflammation. Fish is also rich in zinc, which contributes to regulating inflammation and encourages the production of healthy new skin cells. Finally, fatty fish also contains Vitamin E which is an important anti-oxidant to keep skin protected from free radical damage, which can result in a dull, ageing complexion.

These essential fatty acids cannot be made by the body and must be obtained through diet, don’t over-do the fish though, we recommend you eat fatty fish twice a week.

Nuts and seeds

Nuts and seeds are probably the best skin foods around. They contain protein, essential minerals and Vitamins, as well as Omega-3 fatty acids. They are ideal for keeping skin clear, smooth and youthful.

Some examples include Macadamia nuts which may boost Collagen production and fight off free radicals that can contribute to fine lines. Walnuts are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and help reduce redness and inflammation. Another one is Almonds, they are packed full of selenium, manganese and Vitamin E, which work together to neutralise excess free radicals and helps protect cells from damage.

Feeling peckish – we certainly recommend reaching for a handful of nuts and seeds instead of that cheeky packet of crisps.

Dark Chocolate

Chocolate isn’t off the table though, dark chocolate lovers – this may excite you.

Chocolate derives from cacao beans which are rich in anti-oxidants called flavanols, which help plump and hydrate skin, protect it from free radical damage, and boost circulation for a healthy glow.

Make sure to choose dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa in order to maximize the benefits and keep added sugar to a minimum.

This doesn’t necessarily mean eating as much dark chocolate as you can, enjoy a few squares to curb your sweet tooth in the evenings. Who needs another excuse to pass the chocolate?

Eat a rainbow

This may come as no surprise, but fruit and vegetables really do contain essential minerals, phytonutrients, and anti-oxidants to ward off free radicals and fight other signs of ageing.

Aim for the classic 5 portions a day to help you achieve beautiful, hydrated, dewy skin. Remember, even frozen vegetables and fruits are found to be great for you — so go ahead and throw some extra veggies in your soups and frozen berries in your morning smoothies, just to make life that little bit easier.

Green tea

Green Tea contains powerful anti-oxidants such as polyphenols and catechins, that are fantastic at defending the skin against free radical damage, boosting circulation and in result helps to improve skin elasticity and moisture levels, for plump, healthy-looking skin.

Swap your coffee or builders to a skin-boosting Green Tea – Green Tea still contains caffeine, so stick to around 2-3 cups a day, or opt for a caffeine free Green Tea.

The key to beautiful glowing skin is hydration. Even mild dehydration can make your skin look dry, tired and slightly grey.

Drinking water is essential to maintain the optimum skin moisture and deliver essential nutrients to the skin cells, whilst flushing out toxins. It replenishes the skin tissue and increases elasticity, and thus helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Aim for six to eight glasses of water a day. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink.

Many skincare experts explain that it is just as important to eat your water too. Some fruit and vegetables, such as watermelon, courgette and cucumber are mostly made up of water and will contribute to your water intake – the added benefit is that the minerals they contain will increase the rate you hydrate your body and skin.

The Bottom Line

What you eat can have a big impact on your skin health. Make sure you’re getting enough essential nutrients to protect and preserve your skin.

The foods above are just some of the best options to help keep your skin healthy, strong and glowing. Do let us know if you find any other food or drinks which have had a positive impact on your skin health…

10 Tips to Keep Your Skin Hydrated

When we think of hydrated skin, we imagine plump, healthy-looking skin – yes please! Here are 10 simple ways to keep your complexion hydrated so you can enjoy naturally glowing, hydrated skin every day…

  1. First & foremost – drink water!

Let start working from the inside out. Give your skin the boost it needs to kick start the hydration journey. Water is essential to maintain the optimum skin moisture and deliver essential nutrients to the skin cells. It replenishes the skin tissue and increases its elasticity.

Just keep sipping – drink water first thing, every hour on the hour, and before bed.

  1. Eat your Water too

Leading dermatologists always recommend ‘eating your water’.

In other words, eating water-rich fruits and vegetables – as they will help keep your skin hydrated as well as deliver the beneficial nutrients. Eat water-dense fruits and veggies such as berries, watermelon, plums, peaches, cucumbers, celery, bell peppers, and lettuce.

  1. Cut down on Caffeine, Alcohol & Sugar

So, whilst we are on the topic of diet, avoiding processed sugar is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Consuming too much sugar causes the collagen and elastin in your skin to break down. Also, diuretics such as caffeine or alcohol draw the water out of your body, and that includes your skin.

We aren’t saying cut them out completely, just cut down on the naughties. We believe everything in moderation is key – as we don’t want to deprive you of your favourite treats!

  1. Showers should be Luke Warm

Yes, we know, a toasty shower feels incredible – especially when it’s freezing outside. But long, hot showers can strip your skin of moisture, leaving you feeling dry. Instead, rinse off in lukewarm water, then apply moisturiser when your skin is still damp post-shower lock in the moisture.

  1. Choose a Creamy Cleanser

Cleansers can be drying on the skin, so a creamy cleanser like SBC’s Collagen 3-in-1 Cleanser will become your new best friend when it comes to locking moisture into your skin. Naturally mild, yet creamy, the delicious blend of Passion Flower and Kukui Seed Oils with added Cocoa and Shea Butters, help to cleanse skin leaving it soft, supple and – most importantly – balanced. Use daily and follow with a nourishing moisturiser.

  1. Upgrade your Moisturiser

Topically, you can fight dryness and the visible signs of aging with a moisturiser that contains hydrating and nourishing ingredients. Also, adding a little Hyaluronic Acid to your routine won’t hurt now. Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which binds moisture to the skin by attracting water from the environment around you and help your skin preserve water. Think of it as a moisture magnet that will help the skin look smoother.

Collagen Ultra Rich Cream is a powerhouse moisturiser that intensely hydrates and absorbs easily and quickly into the skin. It’s also filled with high-performance ingredients including Hyaluronic acid. The powerful blend also encompasses Shea Butter, luxurious Sweet Almond Oil, vitamin-rich Kukui Seed Oil and exotic Passion Flower oil to effectively hydrate and nourish dry, dehydrated skin.

  1. Add a Gel

Our lightweight skincare gels can add and lock in moisture at the same time.

Since water is the ultimate hydrator, SBC Skincare Gels are formulated as exceptional multi-tasking products, to boost hydration from head to toe. The gels have a variety of uses which can be tailored to suit any skincare regime.

  1. Use a Hydrating Eye Cream

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest skin on your face, which is why it can easily lose moisture, and you can end up with fine lines. Consider a light, hydrating eye cream such as the new Collagen Illuminating Eye Cream – coming very soon and make it a staple in your daily skin-care routine to keep this delicate area hydrated, smooth and bright.

  1. Think Outside of Moisturiser

If your skin is craving more hydration, it might need a little extra something. Look for a hydrating serum to be applied after cleansing and before moisturising and can be used day at night. The rich and intensive Collagen Hydra-Gel Serum is full of hydrating ingredients to give skin an extra hydrating boost to smooth and condition the skin.

  1. Spritz throughout the day

These lightweight formulas may seem too gentle to make a difference, but it’s really about maintaining hydration. A light spritz is the perfect pick-me-up and won’t mess up your makeup.

Facial mists typically contain lower levels of extracts and skin conditioning agents than most facial moisturisers, so they are safe to use several times throughout the day. Mists are convenient to use on-the-go, at your desk, while traveling and anytime your skin feels dry or tight. SBC’s soothing, and hydrating Aloe Vera Spritz will cool, refresh and restore skin’s moisture balance, bringing an instant bust of radiance and relief to your skin.
